System Requirements

This page outlines the minimum and recommended system requirements for deploying ADvantage Premiere® Password Manager.


Deployment Recommendations

ADvantage Premiere® Password Manager is designed to be installed on a dedicated Windows Server that is joined to your Active Directory domain.

Support for Multi-Domain instances, a conditional forwarder or domain trust must be established between domains.

For best performance, security, and maintainability, it is strongly recommended to deploy the application on a dedicated virtual machine (VM).

The installer automatically installs and configures required components such as:

  • Internet Information Services (IIS)
  • ASP.NET Core Hosting Components
  • Required IIS Features

Active Directory Requirements

The server hosting ADvantage Password Manager must:

  • Be joined to the Active Directory domain
  • Have network connectivity to at least one writable domain controller
  • Allow LDAP/LDAPS communication to domain controllers
  • Have a dedicated service account with appropriate permissions

JavaScript and cookies must be enabled.


SSL/TLS Requirements

A valid SSL certificate is strongly recommended for all deployments.

Using HTTPS helps protect:

  • User credentials
  • Password reset requests
  • Administrative access
  • Secure directory communications

Production deployments should always use HTTPS.

  • Keep Windows fully patched
  • Restrict administrative access to the server
  • Enable regular backups
  • Use LDAPS whenever possible
  • Deploy behind HTTPS using a trusted certificate
